Karin Kelts won’t stop until “The Trouble With Milly” is the screen success it’s meant to be.
Hard work and success seem to come naturally to Karin, who got an early start.
A Florida native, she found herself, at the age of 14, modeling in Paris, where she worked for Karl Lagerfeld and Many other Fashion Houses. She also was seen in many magazines and covers. Always ambitious, she sought training as an actress. Her lengthy acting credits include feature films “Lost Everything,” “Couples”, and appearances on CSI Miami and Burn Notice.
Her first production company, “Awaken Films,” was formed in 2004. After two years and several short films, she created “Longlegs Productions,” which produced two documentaries: “Pastor Joe,” directed by award-winning director Benny Boom, and “Linework.”
In 2012 she teamed up with Kim St Leon to form KMK. Together they produced the award winning feature film “Lost Everything” and “Amelia’s 25th,” starring Danny Trejos, Jennifer Tilly, Margaret Cho, and Ms. Kelts.
Karin’s work behind the camera is fueled by her love of effective storytelling. She is certain that the characters in “We Got Trouble” embody a story of human commonality that is worth fighting to put on the screen.
